The 4th Annual CBI Retreat will feature a keynote lecture by Dr. Cathy Drennan from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her talk is entitled "Shake, Rattle, & Roll: Capturing Snapshots of Ribonucleotide Reductase."
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
9:00am-12:00pm: Student talks and keynote lecture
12:20-1:20pm: Optional breakout lunches; more information to come
1:30-2:30pm: NEW THIS YEAR! Panel of CBI trainees near graduation to discuss their career search and development; featuring Kara Brower, Amita Gupta, and Bette Webster. Attendees at this optional event will be entered into a raffle to win a gift card.
Zoom link will be sent to registrants the week before the event.
This year, full-length student talks will be 10 mins with 5 mins for Q&A. In lieu of a poster session as we have had in the past, we will have the opportunity for earlier-stage PhD students to give 3-minute lightning talks to discuss their research plans. I strongly encourage all CBI trainees and SIGF fellows in their 2nd year or later to submit a talk for consideration. You can indicate your interest on the RSVP form.
